This Canadian-New Zealand family had a life full of joy and fun, and when they decided to add a fourth baby to the menagerie, they received a wonderful surprise in the form of… twins! A few weeks after the little girls were born, I joined them at their house for what has been the most down to earth, relaxed documentary family session I’ve worked on so far. The emphasis wasn’t on the house looking perfect or everyone wearing matching clothes; instead, the older kids took turns holding the babies, jumping on the trampoline, making cupcakes and running around the house. Since it was summer and a beautiful day outside, the kids got out their fishing rods and bikes and we went down to the beautiful marina nearby. Although I would choose golden hour light over the harsh sunlight of peak summer anyday, I have to say that I love the bright sunlight in these shots. The water sparkled with the sun’s reflections and editing this session made me feel like I was in Italy in summer. This family knows how to have fun and their beautiful personalities shone through!

I'm Kristen, your new daggy friend with a camera.

I'm the real human behind Bobby Dazzler Photography, and I've also been a teacher for 15+ years - so when I say I enjoy little rascals, I mean it!

My husband snapped this photo at 37 weeks pregnant with my daughter - and every time I see it I laugh and remember the feeling that I was never getting up from that squat!

I'm a cardigan and cup of tea kind of girl. I knit, I paint, I play instruments. You'll never catch me putting makeup on to go to the gym or kinder pickup. I value honesty and authenticity, big time - I want to bring the way I see the world to how I capture your unique story. It's like telling a story, collaboratively. So, when you show up for our session, please, just be you.
